We are beyond thrilled to announce today that a majority of eligible staff in Student and Instructional Services classifications, including library and museum information resources and the arts, have signed union cards to become members of USU! This first group of almost 1800 staff can now apply for official recognition. This week, we’ll inform UM HR that we are seeking recognition for Student & Instructional Services as a bargaining unit.
If they can do it, we all can! This union belongs to all of us, and the more staff who join, the closer we’ll come to bargaining rights for all classifications.
