Colleagues,
You may have heard that University leadership is considering serious cuts to funding for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs for the upcoming year. As staff, we know just how alarming that suggestion should be. “Programs” aren’t abstract: we’re the ones working day in and day out to support all of our most vulnerable students. Every cut will mean lost jobs and heavier workloads on the already-overworked staff who remain. We must be ready to fight for our students’ futures, our University’s future, and our own future.
Join faculty, students, and fellow USU members for a Rally to Defend DEI on the Central Campus diag this upcoming Monday, December 2 at noon. Click here to read more and to pledge to attend.
