USU Presents: ITS Lunch and Learn on Remote & Flexible Work

Last week, ITS leadership announced that remote workers would be required to return to a two-day-a-week in-person schedule in the coming months. This is an example of what happens when you aren’t unionized: management makes decisions without your input that impact your working conditions and home life.

Join USU members and fellow ITS staff for a Lunch & Learn about the status of remote work at ITS and how we can fight back against this decision. We will meet from 12-1pm on Zoom this Friday 8/9. If you work at ITS as non-supervisory staff and would like to attend, please contact USU.

We believe in staff making the best decisions for ourselves when it comes to our jobs and work-life balance. With your support in building our union, University Staff United, management will be required to negotiate all working conditions with bargained-for staff. In practice, this means you will have a voice in how and where you work (including remote/hybrid working conditions, base salary, raises, healthcare, tuition reimbursement, childcare subsidies, retirement, and more). A voice that is secured with a contract.

Join our union today by signing your card, and work together with us to protect remote work options. We are planning an ITS-specific town hall to bring us together on a plan to address this specific mandate announcement. Don’t let U-M take away your autonomy – speak up and find your voice with USU!
